Hi friends…

Calvin and Hobbes turned 20 on October 07, 2005 and for ardent fans like me, it sure was an occasion to celebrate.

Allow me to re-introduce Calvin to you through a collage. Read on...

Calvin is a very naughty 6 year old…having a stuffed Tiger toy named Hobbes. In his imagination, the Tiger comes alive. ..

Hobbes is his best pal…his alter ego…

Calvin hates school and often ends up missing the school bus…

Oh! How he loves to annoy his mum… : )

But, they share a wonderful relation…

Still, he often feels he is related to people he does not relate to…

He also loves to vex his neighborhood friend/classmate Susie Derkins…

Mrs Wormwood is his class teacher and is of course one troubled soul ‘cos of Calvin…

He is a failure at formal studies…competes with Susie and see what happens…

Rosalyn, poor thing, whom Calvin does not like one bit, is often hired as his babysitter…

Calvin loves to express his creativity through snow…

…and is often a victim of his own smartness J

Oh yes, he is afraid of only two things in life…darkness/monsters…

…and Big Moe, the overgrown apelike school bully…

He just hates home cooked meals…and green stuff usually heightens his imagination…

…and so, everyone’s deep seated desire is to…well read on…

: )

Hats off to Bill Watterson (47), the creator of Calvin and Hobbes. Btw, he is presently living a life of quietude with his Wife somewhere in America.
*All these pictures are his creation and I am just reproducing the same with no intention to infringe his copyright.

More of them...

Maili Yamuna forced it to visit the neighborhood ridge pond, I think. Yes, it’s a Kingfisher adding color to my backyard…lovely na!

OK...this is not a bird, but how could I not mention my adorable 'Gillu'...the most naughty visitor of our place. He has to trouble every other specie...and the way he call that cat names! Absolute fun to watch. : )
.

Babblers finally obliged and I could click. Seriously, I never could imagine this warrior race to be so photo shy! : ). As you can see, it is quite ugly looking.

Sad…I could not click them while they were pecking at those window panes.

Sorry, don’t know the name of this bird. But, boy! does it have some appetite…esp. for earthworms and maggots. Here, you can see it hunting in my lawns for one of those slimy treats!

Our very own Goraiyya (Sparrow). Two newborns were hopping in a silly fashion cheeping like crazy. The mother sparrow (the one which is feeding ofcourse) must be having a hard time disciplining them. See how the other one is feeling neglected. : ). But, to tell you the truth, both of them rock!

More might come...
